Data Governance Architect

You will use your skills in these areas:

• Performing data governance current state gap assessments and creating recommendations to ensure progress towards organizational adoption of data governance transformation. 
• Identifying opportunities and working with business stakeholders and partners to embed good data management practices into their daily operations and business processes. 
• Participating in development of the organization’s data architecture strategy including the database design and structure, data integrity and database tools. 
• Providing a centralized view of data governance initiatives to partners and management.
• Participating in the Data Governance tool selection, leading the design and implementation of Data Governance solutions from inception to adoption. Continually assessing and identifying the data risks within the organization’s data management practices, ensuring they are mitigated and in compliance with the Data Governance policies. Acting as a liaison between the data governance and business teams.

This role will be critical as we move to the cloud product model and must ensure solid integration between all products, as well understand ways in which we can use our data.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of data governance standard methodologies with prior experience in data governance Architecting. 
• Ability to quickly grasp diverse subject matter representing various business units across the organization, data topologies, understand how data traverse through organization.
• Understanding of the Technology and Tools needed around Data Governance Initiatives (i.e. Top Quadrant, Ataccama, Collibra).
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to identify relationships between various datasets.
• Ability to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Good written and verbal communication skills including the ability to create effective management reports and presentations.
• Strong stakeholder management capabilities with key focus on delivery and client orientation.
• Experience in data modeling and architecture development.
