We are looking for an experienced Mechanical and Piping Supervisor. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for managing field activities related to piping and equipment installation during the Construction and Pre-/Commissioning phases.
Objectives and Responsibilities
Coordination of the Mechanical and Piping Contractor:
- Conduct site inspections and control materials to ensure proper segregation and staging for erection.
- Coordinate and oversee erection activities to ensure work is completed according to schedule.
- Review method statements and risk assessments submitted by the contractor.
- Coordinate contractor activities to ensure an efficient and orderly workflow.
- Maintain and control site technical work instructions and records.
- Promote and ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations, including project-specific requirements.Coordinate work permits.
- Evaluate subcontractors’ construction capabilities in relation to project schedules.
- Perform Material Take-Offs (MTO) and update progressively to ensure proper material procurement and usage.
- Identify and resolve technical issues encountered on-site.
- Analyze and optimize work sequences and methods.
- Liaise with client representatives and coordinate with other department supervisors to ensure effective execution of all tasks.
- Ensure adherence to Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) procedures.
- Identify, report, and resolve fabrication and drawing discrepancies found on-site.
- Compare actual work quantities with engineering estimates.
- Supervise and enforce safety measures at construction sites in collaboration with the Safety Manager.
- Ensure construction quality meets project specifications and the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
- Ensure availability of construction drawings and materials ahead of implementation.
- Monitor construction progress by tracking daily, weekly, and monthly work completion.
- Document Best Practices (B/P) and Lessons Learned (L/L).
- Coordinate with other disciplines or departments to resolve interface issues.
