Agile Coach

Project:

Our client is looking for an experienced Agile Coach to support the delivery teams in the transition to Agile ways of working. You will coach, mentor, and guide our delivery team to figure out the best Agile approach for their specific challenges. You will play a key role in the long-term strategy across the different teams, helping them to deliver better products in a faster, more efficient manner.

On this position you will:

  • Bring Agile Transformation to life by showing the path, training, and supporting teams in the transition to agile ways of working 
  • Coaching agile teams and program level roles at varying levels of maturity (DevOps, Scrum and Kanban teams) to ensure they are using agile best practices and continually improving
  • Educate and mature an Agile Mindset, building a culture of continuous collaboration and value realization
  • Work hands on with cross-functional agile teams applying agile principles and practices, resulting in improved outcomes such as shorter development cycles, fast feedback, reduction of waste and continuous discovery.
  • Foster collaboration between business, product, engineering, and shared services to help establish the vision, set the direction, and maintain alignment to enable the delivery of relevant solutions meeting customer and business objectives.
  • Enhance Agile Maturity of teams through Agile Maturity Assessments and create an improvement plan that brings an uplift in teams’ delivery capabilities 
  • Help create content for agile related training and workshops
  • Deliver agile related training, Facilitate workshops on various related topics
  • Teaching teams to maintain relevant metrics that guide them to continuously improve and provide management visibility on the status and delivery successes
  • Supporting the ongoing development of the agile implementation roadmap and driving a stronger and deeper agile culture in the delivery teams
  • Support development of Agile Communities of Practice to foster the growth of internal change agents, increase innovation and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Professional Scrum Master Qualification: (Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM or SSM) or Kanban Management Professional (KMP)) or Agile certifications (PMI-ACP)
  • Advanced qualification or willingness to work towards is desirable. 
  • A certification in SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Professional coaching experience is essential. Certification is desirable
  • Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience of a broad range of agile topics, tools, and techniques (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP, SAFe)
  • Significant Agile/Lean knowledge with Demonstrable coaching experience
  • An expert of Knowledge in Scrum and/or other Agile Method (including continuous integration and continuous delivery)

Skills:

  • Experience of working and leading across multiple agile teams, with knowledge and experience of working at scale in technology organizations
  • Excellent facilitation, mentoring and presentation skills
  • Outstanding communication skills at all levels
  • Strong knowledge of agile tools and software e.g., Jira, Confluence and MS tools.
  • Good understanding of agile practices (e.g., CI, TDD, Pairing etc) and able to facilitate, understand, and contribute to technical discussions.
