BI Developer (short-term)
Job Description:
- Our client is looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer for short term project (2-3 months).
- In this position you will oversee the creation and management of BI and analytics solutions, transforming data into valuable insights.
- The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in data and business analysis, along with analytical and communication skills. A sound business understanding and problem-solving abilities are also desired.
- As a BI Developer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our business intelligence system to drive informed decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Translate business needs to technical specifications.
- Design, build and deploy BI solutions.
- Evaluate and improve existing BI systems.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate systems.
- Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses.
- Create visualizations and reports for requested projects.
- Develop and update technical documentation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a BI Developer.
- Industry experience is preferred.
- Background in data warehouse design
- In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework.
- Knowledge of SQL queries
- Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative.
- Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
Familiarity with following technologies:
- Snowflake
- Tableau
- Power BI
- Pentaho
- Relational and not relational DBs
- PostgreSQL
- DB2
- Debezium/Kafka
- Python (nice to have)
