Senior Cloud Architect / Engineer

Project:

Our client is looking for a highly experienced and motivated Cloud Engineer with a primary focus on Azure cost optimization to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture or engineering, with extensive experience in Azure cloud infrastructure.

This role requires a keen eye for identifying optimization opportunities, particularly in cost savings. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating our existing Azure environment, recommending improvements, and implementing solutions to enhance performance and reduce costs.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate and analyze the current Azure cloud infrastructure to identify areas for cost optimization.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and performance of cloud resources.
• Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities within the Azure environment.
• Monitor and manage cloud resource usage to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure features, best practices, and industry trends.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Cloud Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Extensive experience in cloud architecture or engineering.
• Expertise in cost management and optimization tools.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, or ARM templates.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills are a necessity.
• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator) are a plus.
• Experience with cloud cost monitoring and optimization.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines.
